I don't have a facebook account but Tim does so I just use his. I don't do much but look at pictures and updates. Tim lived in McAlester, OK for a few years in high school and made several friends. A couple he is friends with on facebook and I love looking at their pages for a few reasons.....1-they both have babies within a few months of Nolen and I love looking at pictures of their babies and reading their updates. 2-they always have really cute ideas for different things. 3-they sometimes put up good recipes. I got on one day and saw a picture of the cutest wreath that one of the girls had made and she got the idea from pinterest. Now I had heard about pinterest and even looked at the website but really didn't know much about it. After seeing this picture, I got back on and really started looking at the website and quickly became addicted!!! I have two wreaths, a fall and a Christmas one so from January to September I don't have anything to hang on my front door. When I saw this picture I knew I wanted to attempt this in hopes to have a wreath to put on my front door!!! Now I have made friends with one of Tim's friends from OK, Mona Gayle. After seeing the picture and knowing she is friends with this girl, I quickly texted her to see if she knew how to make the wreath and how much burlap I would need. She had actually made one for Valentine's Day and so she told me how much she used and off to Hobby Lobby I went. I gathered my supplies and when I got home I went to work on my new wreath!!! I love how it turned out. It was so easy and so much fun!!

My boys!! I can't post on here without putting up pictures of the boys!!! They are growing so much and are so much fun!!! Hudsen has a lot of energy and Nolen is very busy so our house is loud and exciting and I love every minute of noise!!!! Tim and I are so thankful that God chose us to be the parents to these sweet little boys!!!

Arggh!! Hudsen is still loving pirates and they play pirates just about every night!!!

Nolen is 11 months old!!!

I can't believe that we are getting ready to celebrate his first birthday!!! This year has just flown by! He is still such a happy boy and a very busy boy. He loves to eat anything, food or not! He loves to play with his ball and bat. He is a talker and laughs a lot! He loves his big brother and his big brother loves him! He has a tooth!!!!! We go to the dr at the end of the month and will get his one year stats then!

Hudsen still loves Toy Story and his Woody and Buzz toys. He so badly wants a Jessie doll and that might just have to be a Valentine present!!! He is still just such a sweet boy that loves to run, play, talk, and laugh!

Hudsen got this tent from Amy and OnOn for Christmas and they both love to play in it!!!

Disney on Ice/Toy Story 3

On Friday we went to see Disney on Ice/Toy Story 3! We had a blast. This was our first Disney on Ice experience and we would definitely go again! Hudsen got a cool Woody cup, Buzz helmet and a Woody spin toy! He had so much fun watching all the characters, Tim and I did too. Nolen actually watched a little, flirted with the girl next to us, ate and fell asleep! It was a fun family date night!!!

Happy New Year 2012 and Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011:
This year we traveled to Plainview for Christmas! Since we spent Christmas in Texas, we celebrated Christmas early with Tim's family. We had Christmas with King and Ellen on the 18th, Hudsen had a doctor appointment on the 19th and then me and the boys flew to Plainview on the 20th. It was a busy few days!!! We had a wonderful Christmas with Grandma and Bompa, wonderful food and lots of fun presents for all of us!!! The next day Hudsen went to the doctor! He is 37lbs and 41 inches and perfectly healthy! Hudsen doesn't have to have any shots until he is 4 so we have another year of no shots!!! He goes back in June! The next day me and the boys got on a plane and flew to Lubbock! Both boys did so well on the plane! My dad picked us up and so started the get togethers!!! It was wonderful and probably the best Christmas for me. That night we all met at Amy's (my older sister) house and had yummy food and even better company! The next night everyone came out to mom and dad's and we ate some more and let the kids play! Hudsen loved playing with Ashton and Stella and Nolen loved Stella! It was so much fun for me to see the cousins playing because I remember so many holidays of playing with my cousins!! The next night (22nd) we had Christmas at my Grandad's That was even more fun to see everyone and watch the kids play and again some really yummy food!! My cousin Tyler cooked steaks for about 31 people and they were delicious!! Then we had baked potatoes, salad and homemade rolls and all the desserts you could imagine!! Tim got in on the 23rd and that night we just hung out at mom and dad's. Everyone came over and we of course ate some more food!!! Christmas Eve we woke up to snow!!! It was beautiful and it snowed pretty much all day! Hudsen got sick the night before so we made him stay inside. Mom and Hudsen made cookies for Santa and we put them out that night along with some milk. Christmas Day we awoke to more snow and a visit from Santa. The boys played and then we let Hudsen go out and play in the snow. He and Tim made a snowman, snow angels and Hudsen threw plenty of snowballs at Tim! They had a blast! That night everyone came out for food and presents! Again, so much fun to watch the kids play! They loved each other and had so much fun! Hudsen did get his pirate sword that he asked for and he had lots of fun playing with it! The next day was Tim's birthday! We went to eat mexican food with all my family, my aunt and uncle (on my mom's side), my cousin, her husband and little girl (Hudsen's age). She is pregnant with their second baby and she looks adorable! After dinner we went to Amy's house for cake and a little play time with our friends little girl, Reagan (Hudsen's age). It took them a few minutes to warm up to each other and Hudsen didn't want her to leave when it came time. Tim came home the next day and then my mom and dad drove me and the boys home on the 28th. We were jam packed and it was a long day in the car but we made it and I am so thankful and glad that they did that for us! They drove home on the 1st, so we were able to spend some time with them! It was a wonderful Christmas season and we look forward to 2012 and all it has to offer us!! Now we start planning our little boy Nolen's 1st birthday!

Pirate Birthday and Santa

Hudsen is 3 years old!!!

Wow! I can't believe that Hudsen is 3 years old! Where has the time gone?! Hudsen's birthday was on a Wednesday so we just played at home and then went out to eat with Grandma and Bompa and took the boys to see Santa! The boys did great with Santa. Hudsen went right up and sat beside him and Nolen didn't even cry!

We had Hudsen's birthday party the next day so that Elizabeth and Gerard could come! Hudsen has really gotten into pirates and asked Santa for a pirate sword for Christmas, so it was a pirate party, only because the cake was a pirate ship, but a pirate party nonetheless! Hudsen had a wonderful 2-day celebration and we enjoyed every minute!

Happy Thanksgiving 2011! We have had a wonderful one and have so much to be thankful for! We have a wonderful and healthy family and that's enough! I hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Our sweet baby! This was his first Thanksgiving and he is 9 months old today! He is pulling up on everything and wants to just let go and walk! He wants so badly to keep up with his big brother!

Our big boy! I can't believe we will be celebrating his 3rd birthday in just a few weeks!!! He has grown so much and makes us smile everyday!

I love our family so much and am so thankful for them!

Now bring on Christmas!!!!!!

So, I thought I would give a quick update. The pictures say 99.9% so I will give you the other .1%, which is mainly a potty training update. I will say that we pretty much have tee teeing in the potty down. We do have a few rough times but we are in underwear all day with the exception of naptime and bedtime. It is so nice to only have to worry about one size of diapers! We are having difficulty with pooping in the potty but we will get there and will take any advice to help! We are so proud of Hudsen!

If you remember from my last post that I did a sticker board and that worked perfectly! He really enjoyed putting the stickers on the board after every potty! We did a couple of incentives.......for 10 stickers he got a prize. The first day was a balloon and the second day was a smoothie! Then we did a prize for staying dry all day and we still do but just not everyday. It is usually a smoothie on Friday or Saturday!

Nolen loves his little snacks! He is so close to getting a tooth, which is so foreign to us because Hudsen got his first tooth at 16 1/2 months.

We got Hudsen a Christmas tree for his room and put it up on Tuesday! He LOVES it!

We made reindeer ornaments yesterday and put it on his tree! We had so much fun! We made two for his tree and four for our big tree!

Halloween, Fun, & Potty Time

Halloween 2011

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Hudsen picked out his Woody costume and Nolen wore the same Monkey costume that Hudsen did on his first Halloween! We carved our pumpkins the night before and then on Monday, Tim took Hudsen trick-or-treating and Nolen and I stayed at the house to hand out candy! We had fun and saw lots of cute costumes. When Tim and Hudsen got home i had a hard time figuring out which one had more fun! Tim said that there were a lot more homes decorated this year and Hudsen had a blast!

Potty Time!

I have begun the task of potty training! I was going to wait until the week of Thanksgiving but woke up yesterday with the feeling that we needed to go ahead and get started. We had a couple of accidents yesterday and a couple of accidents today! Not too bad! Hudsen has been really interested in stickers lately so I decided to make a sticker board. Every time he goes in the big potty he gets to put a sticker on the board with a big prize of getting to pick out a balloon! Please pray for us and I will keep you posted!

33 and 8!

I turned 33 years young this month so Happy Birthday to me! It started with a "Happy Birthday Mommy" from Hudsen which of course melted my heart! Ellen made a wonderful dinner and it ended with Hudsen and Nolen helping me blow out my candles and open presents! It was wonderful!

Ellen made another amazing cake! Hudsen picked out the design and helped make it too!

Gerard got off work early and was able to join us!

Since Elizabeth didn't get to make the birthday dinner, she came over the next night and got some love from the boys!

8 Months!

Nolen was 8 months old this month! He is such a sweetie! He is pretty much always happy. He will eat anything and a lot! He loves food and hopefully that will encourage Hudsen to eventually eat some new things! He is still just army crawling but has been getting on all fours and rocking.

We are looking forward to Halloween and carving pumpkins. Hudsen is really excited about trick-or-treating and all the Halloween decorations!

We truly are blessed!

Pumpkin Patch and SuperBoys!

Pumpkin Patch 2011:

We went to the Pumpkin Patch yesterday evening and had so much fun. Grandma and Bompa joined us and we finished the evening with dinner! It was a wonderful evening! I just love this time of year! I love the colors and all the scents associated with fall! Halloween is turning into a fun holiday at our house. Hudsen is so excited about trick-or-treating and loves to look at all the houses that are decorated with Halloween Stuff!! I also love that it starts cooling down and you find yourself indoors spending lots of fun time with family!!!

7 & Baseball-Updated

I posted this last week with the title of 5 & Baseball. It appears that I am either losing my mind or really not wanting my baby to get bigger. I am going with the latter! Anyway, here is the same post but updated since Nolen is 7 months!

Look at me, I am 7 months old! I love all my food and especially the vegetables. I am always happy.......unless I am hungry! I love to have my bottom cleaned and laugh a lot! I love my brother and watching him play! He loves to make me laugh! I am now crawling (army style) and keep everybody busy! I love all my toys and love to chew on my cold teething toys! Until next month.........

Opening Day and the Green Bay Packers are 1-0!!!!! It was a close one but they pulled it off!

Look at this cute little guy!! He is just so happy and doing so many fun new things!! He scoots all over the place and is really trying to sit up on his own! He talks a lot and LOVES to eat! He loves his big brother and Hudsen loves his little brother! Maybe I can get Nolen to be a Texans fan!!! Probably not if his dad has a say......but as you know they will like who they want.

Family Vacation 2011

Disneyland 2011

I LOVE family vacations!!!! We had originally planned to go to Dallas and visit some friends and have my family meet up for the weekend but that didn't work out so we made the short drive to CA! The boys were perfect travelers! We left Thursday and were in our room getting ready for bed only 4 hours later! Hudsen was so excited to go to Disneyland and all he could talk about was Mickey and Minnie and their houses! He was not disappointed either, he had so much fun and Nolen even got to ride some rides, after convincing Tim that it was okay to park our stroller and take our bag on the ride so we all could go, and he loved them!!! We went to Disneyland on Friday, a minor league baseball game (which both boys loved) on Saturday, the beach on Sunday and then came home on Monday! We went to bed every night between 10 and 11 and woke up around 9:30-10 every morning. (Nolen would wake up at 8am and eat but would go back to sleep until 10). It was perfect!!!

I had to put my foot down on this ride! Tim wanted Hudsen to ride this ride with him because he met the height requirement. I would not let him and had to remind him that just because Hudsen is the size of a 4 year old and is tall enough doesn't mean it is a good ride for a 2.5 year old! Hudsen loved riding the rides but I don't think he would have liked this one! Maybe in a couple of years!!! Tim still rode it though!

The only major league team that was in town was the Dodgers and we refuse to go to one of their games so we went to a minor league game and it was so much fun!! Hudsen loved the ballpark and has been asking to go to the ballpark every day since!

I would say that he loves baseball but that would even be an understatement!

Nolen had his 6 month check up yesterday and is 26.5 inches and 18 pounds. He is healthy! We have been trying solid foods and so far he has liked everything we have given him. He definitely prefers vegetables to fruits but will eat them all! He has had peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, peaches, bananas, applesauce and we will be trying squash and pears soon! He is still such a happy baby, loves his toys and walker a lot!! While on our trip he got up on all fours and rocked but hasn't done it since!!! He scoots to get somewhere though and is so close to sitting on his own!! He loves to watch Hudsen and can't wait to be able to follow him!! Hudsen is a great big brother and they play so well together!!! We are truly blessed!

Clouds

I love clouds and I remember looking in the sky and trying to figure out what the clouds looked like when I was a kid. This past Sunday we walked the boys to a park not far from our house and on the way back Tim was showing Hudsen the clouds and what he thought they looked like. They found one that looked like a duck and one that was shaped like a baseball bat. This morning, while driving, Hudsen said "Mommy wook a doggie!" while pointing to the sky. He found a doggie and a mouth in the clouds! I love his imagination!!!

Nolen is 6 Months Today!!! Wow it is going so fast!!! He is such a sweet baby and he loves his big brother. Last night, while cleaning up the kitchen, all I hear is two boys laughing!!! The best noise in the world! Nolen is at the age where he can play and Hudsen is so good to lay on the floor and play with him!! They are best friends and I LOVE it!!! We take Nolen to the doctor next week so we will have 6 month stats then. He has been trying some foods. He likes peas, bananas, applesauce and peaches. Green beans are what's on tap for the next three days!!!!

We are truly blessed!

Nolen's Baptism

Nolen was baptized August 7th at our church, St. Joseph Husband of Mary! It was a wonderful ceremony. Brian and Erin were able to make it out and Elizabeth and Gerard were able to take the day off to spend it with us celebrating our sweet Nolen! After the baptism we had everyone over to our house for bbq sandwiches that Ellen made and were SO GOOD and a very pretty cake that Ellen also made!!!! It was so nice to spend time with family. We are so blessed!

Haircut

Hudsen has been needing a haircut for quite some time. Tim has always cut his hair and he has always been so good until recently. For some reason he has become afraid of the scissors and we don't really know why. We tried going to a salon but that didn't work so we just let it rest until last night. Tim talked to Hudsen about his hair and Hudsen decided he would let Tim cut it.....only if he could hold his baseball!!!! We turned on Wall-E, gave him his baseball, let him crawl up in my lap, put a towel around him and Tim started cutting. He did so good but was ready to be done about halfway through. We got it done and he looks so cute (of course he always looks cute) and he still has his curls!!!! I just love this boy!!!

Dining Chairs

I have to start by saying that I follow a blog called All Things Thrifty! I have been following it for a while and always think that everything she does is so cute! I have always wanted to find a piece of furniture to re-do! In comes these two cute dining room chairs!

Some people moved out of a house in our neighborhood and they left A LOT of furniture on the curb! So, yes I was that weird girl that drove across the street to see what I could find! I found these two chairs and a chest!! There was a really cute little chair but I couldn't find anyone that was willing to help me tackle that project! I had so much fun working on these chairs and can't wait to do some more re-finishing! All Things Thrifty gives step by step tutorials for everything so it was not difficult at all!!! 7 -Tim and I were married 7 years on July 17th. We had a wonderful anniversary. We went to see Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 and it was AWESOME!!! Then King and Ellen cooked us a wonderful dinner of steak, potato, salad, corn and finished with a chocolate cake topped with 7 candles!!! It was delicious!

2 -These 2 boys are our world!! They are soo much fun and we feel so blessed to be their Mommy and Daddy!! They are both growing so fast! Hudsen is such a little talker and makes me and Tim laugh all the time! He is so smart and remembers EVERYTHING! He still loves baseball, Blue's Clues, his blanket, Toy Story and his Woody and Buzz toy, the park and the swimming pool at Beth and G's (Elizabeth and Gerard)! He is such a sweet boy and gives lots of hugs and some kisses!
Hudsen and Nolen love each other so much and it melts my heart! They are best buds!

5 -Nolen was 5 months on the 24th! I can't believe how fast the time is going! He is such a sweet baby! He is always sooooo happy and will just smile when anyone says his name! He is SUPER mellow. He LOVES his food. He has been eating cereal for a month and we have started adding bananas and apples to it! He is a huge fan of bananas! We are going to start trying some food soon!! He is really fascinated with his basketball but loves to watch Hudsen play baseball!!! He loves all of his toys and has really enjoyed his walker!! He drools A LOT and loves to laugh!!

Amy's Visit

My sister, Amy, came out to visit this last week!!! We had so much fun! This was her first meeting with Nolen and it was love at first sight!!! She got here on Tuesday the 28th and we went straight to Town Square and shopped. We had lunch at Brio and she became an instant fan!! We love the salads there. The rest of the time was spent just hanging out and shopping. We of course had to play "the ugly shoe game" at DSW and that is just hours of fun!!! We pick out the ugliest shoes we can find for each other to try on. I have to say that Amy won!! She picked out the ugliest shoe for me to try on and it was REALLY bad. We decided that it was the ugliest to date of playing the ugly shoe game!! TONS of fun!! She also had to spoil my kids and the boys loved it.

Thank you for coming to stay with us Amy!! We had so much fun and can't wait for your next visit and hopefully Leon, OnOn, can come with you. We love you and miss you!

Whenever one of my family comes out, everyone else has to send their gifts with them!! This was in a sack of shoes that Kiley sent for Hudsen!! Needless to say they were a hit. He has worn them at some point every day since getting them!!! Thanks for sharing Kiley!

The boys also got some clothes from my mom and Amy. Mom also got Hudsen a baseball straw cup, since that is all he will drink out of, and it was a big hit. Amy found some Blue's Clues books and a Blue's Clues movie. Spoiled they are!!

Nolen decided to roll over while Amy was here and I was so excited she got to see this milestone!! Once he got it he could not stop!!!!

The motivation: a basketball.......I have always said that Hudsen will be our baseball star and Nolen our basketball star!!!! Hudsen took to a baseball at birth and Nolen is loving basketball!!

June was a fun month. Hudsen is 2 1/2 and Nolen is 4 months now!!! They are still so fun to watch and bring so much joy to our home and lives!!! They both went to the dr this month and here are their stats:
Hudsen:
33 lbs and 39 inches

Nolen:
14 lbs. 13 oz. and 22 inches
Nolen started cereal this month and wasn't sure at first but is now a big fan!!!

They both are growing and perfectly healthy kids! Here are some pictures to show how much fun we had in June!

This is what we have been doing during May 2011! I had a wonderful Mother's Day and my mom came to visit over Memorial Weekend. My older sister, Amy, is visiting at the end of June and my little sister, Kiley and her family, are planning to visit this summer too. The boys are growing everyday and doing new things all the time. Hudsen has turned into quite the little talker and wants to try and say everything you say. He still loves baseball and his blanket but has become a HUGE fan of Blue's Clues! Nolen is such a happy baby. He giggles and squeals all the time. He started sleeping through the night on Mother's Day and that was the best present!! Both boys go to the doctor in a couple of weeks, so I will post their stats after then. Enjoy!

So, I have a very dear friend, Lenzi, who has been interested in photography and has taken some classes. She loves to take pictures and she introduced me to a friend of hers, Dana, who is also interested in photography. I asked them to take some family pictures of us on Easter weekend and they were so kind to take us out and put up with us for a couple of hours. They turned out WONDERFUL!!! We absolutely loved every one they took. I would've put them all up but you would be looking at pictures for a long time, so I chose a few of our favorites. We have replaced all our pictures in our house with ones from this day!! We love them and we want to say THANK YOU Lenzi and Dana! You both are awesome!!!

Nolen was such a trooper. They took pictures of just him a couple of weeks later and I can't wait to see them!

Happy Easter!!

Picture Overload!!

I find that it is easier to put up pictures to let everyone know how we are doing! We are doing great! Hudsen and Nolen are both growing fast. At Nolen's 6 wk. check he weighed in at 11lbs. 6oz and measured 22.5 inches. They both go back in June!! Our house is pretty wild and crazy at times but we are loving EVERY minute! Here are pictures from our wonderful Easter weekend, so please enjoy!!

The Past Month

I love these two guys so much!!!

I had to post about how lucky I am to have Tim and Hudsen in my life!

I am 35 1/2 weeks and am feeling it! This pregnancy has been much like Hudsen's......GREAT! It has been a little harder this time just for the simple fact that I have Hudsen to take care of and I can't just go home and lay down if I am tired. Now that I am coming to the end of this pregnancy, I am much more uncomfortable than I was with Hudsen. This is where Tim comes in!! I don't know what I would do without him! Just to give you an idea here is what took place this past Sunday.

Tim was giving Hudsen a bath and I was sitting in the bathroom with them. I made the remark that I wish someone would come clean the house. Now I can clean the house but it takes me a couple of days because I don't have the energy level I used to. Tim then asked what needed to be done and said he would do it for me. Hudsen and I laid down to take a nap and we woke up to Tim cleaning the blinds and windows. He then went on to clean the bathrooms, baseboards, rearrange the loft and clean it, dust and vaccuum!

THANK YOU TIM!!!! I love you!

While Tim was cleaning, I thought I would take advantage of some time with just my little Huddie! We love Sonic, so we went and got a Happy Hour drink and some ice cream to share! I love this little man and know that he is going to be a wonderful Big Brother!!!

We had some friends over this past Saturday to watch UFC. One couple has 4 month old twin girls and Hudsen thought they were just pretty special. Their mom, Cathy, was so nice to let Hudsen hold and love on them. Here a few pictures of Hudsen and Avery. Caitlin was asleep when they arrived and she got some love from Hudsen when she woke up.

October was a fun month for us and full of activities!! My mom was able to come out and celebrate my birthday with me and go to my 20-week ultrasound. We got a good report on Baby Boy #2 and now we wait! Hudsen is growing so fast and I can't believe he will be 2 years old in one month!!! We went to the pumpkin patch, attended Heaven's House at our church and trick-or-treated for the first time! October was a wonderful month!!

BOY!!!! Yes, we are having another little boy! I am so excited for Hudsen to have a little brother to play with!! We went to the Dr. today for my regular monthly appointment and everything looks good. She only has a small ultrasound machine in her office used for initial and gender check ultrasounds. The little guy was not shy at all, he is very proud to show off that he is a boy!!! We have our 20-week ultrasound on Oct. 18th and I will post pictures then!! We have a few names that we are throwing around but haven't settled on one yet.

Catching Up!!

Oh my!! I have a lot of catching up to do!!! Hudsen and I went to Plainview at the end of August. We went for my nephew's birthday and to meet my new niece!!! Ashton turned 6 this year and started kindergarten! I can't believe he is old enough to be in school. Hudsen had so much fun playing with him and Ashton is so good with him!! We also got to meet Stella!! She is beautiful and Hudsen loved her too!! We missed Tim for the 10 days that we were gone but we had so much fun visiting family!! This was our last trip where we did not have to pay for Hudsen to ride the plane! I can't believe the next time we book a flight we will have to pay for him!! He is growing up so fast and is so much fun! He is always so happy! We are getting more teeth and I hope that with more teeth comes more eating. Hudsen eats like I did, he picks. I guess I turned out okay so I probably shouldn't worry.......but isn't that what mom's do, worry!!! He learns something new every day and is definitely our little problem solver.
Story Time: Every night we have to take something from downstairs upstairs when we go up to take a bath. The other night Hudsen wanted to take his baseball and glove upstairs. Now he walks up the stairs with only us hanging on to an arm or hand and he holds the rail. When I saw him wanting to take TWO things up, I told him to wait for me because I needed to put his milk in the refrigerator. When I came around the corner he had already made it up 2-3 stairs. "How?" you ask. Well, he put his glove on his head, baseball in other hand and his free hand was able to hold the railing!!!! Definitely our problem solver!!!

About us: I am feeling great!! I have started to feel the little baby move and can't wait for it to be strong enough for Tim and Hudsen to feel!! Tim will finish school in 2 months and we are so excited!!! He is in his next to last class! Hudsen and I are so very proud of him!! What we do after school is out is still up in the air but we look forward to whatever God leads us to do!!!

This past Friday, we had a family date night!! Tim has been working so hard with work and school, so we take advantage of any time that we get to spend together!!

Our date night started by eating at Baja Fresh, one of our favorites! It was dark when we left.....welcome fall!! It starts getting dark sooner out here too because of the mountains. With it being dark and not being able to go to the park, we went to Wal-Mart. I needed to get some groceries and I wanted to start looking for ideas for Hudsen's Birthday and Christmas! Tim decided to take Hudsen down the baseball aisle and this is how we ended up! Hudsen picked out everything, starting with the batting helmet. He then picked a bat and ball. Tim put the glove in the basket but he wanted it out........."You don't need a glove when you are batting Dad, come on really!" I think that is what he was saying to us anyway! He then wore the helmet through Wal-Mart. He did not want to take it off and he looked so cute! We finally got it off without any crying but we decided to go ahead and buy it and put it up for his birthday! What a fun surprise for him!! Baseball in his DNA........what do you think?

In other fun news..........Hudsen is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!! We are expecting Watts baby #2! I am 16 weeks and due March 5th! We get to find out what we are having in about 2 1/2 weeks! We are very excited and I will keep you posted once we know if Hudsen is having a Little Sister or Brother!!! Pictures of the new baby, named Widget by my big sister Amy, to come!

THE ZOO

I LOVE Family Vacation!!! This year we decided to take Hudsen to The San Diego Zoo! We normally do a baseball game weekend but I didn't know if Hudsen would sit through a 3 hour game. Tim and I love this Zoo, it is very special to us and we wanted to share it with Hudsen. We also wanted to escape the heat of Las Vegas for a couple of days! Escape we did, we went from 106 degrees in Vegas to 68 degrees in San Diego! It was wonderful. We stayed on Mission Bay and had a beautiful view of the bay from our room. One regret is that we didn't go swimming in the pool but it was a little too cool! We saw so many cool animals and had so much fun! We just love being together!

Our room the night we got there. Hudsen was so excited and had to check everything out. He did not go to bed until 1:30am but slept the whole night. He woke up and was so excited to be in the same place with all the cool things he found the night before.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

Today is the day that we celebrate all the wonderful men that are also called Father, Dad or Daddy!! I am blessed to be surrounded by wonderful Dads!! Hudsen and I are so lucky to have Tim! We are so thankful for all that he does for our family and he is such a wonderful example for Hudsen!

This one just melts my heart!! Hudsen loves his dad so much!!

18 Months!
Hudsen is now 18 months!!! He went to the dr. last week and weighed 27 lbs. and was 35 inches!
He continues to grow and learn each day!! He truly is our pride and joy!!

SUMMER......

Is here and in FULL force!! It has been really hot here the last week. So what do you do when it gets hot......you get in the pool. Hudsen loves the pool! He got in a big pool for the first time a few weeks ago and likes it-as long as I can hold him!! He loves to kick and splash. We got him a new pool this summer fully equipped with a whale slide and dolphin sprayer. He really enjoys playing in the water....which is a good thing because he will have 3 months of it!!

Memorial Day!

On Memorial Day, Tim played golf and Hudsen and I went to see "How to Train Your Dragon" The movie was so good!! Then we came home and Hudsen played outside in the water. We cooked hamburgers and hot dogs and watched some baseball!!

Hudsen loves to get on his toys that he can ride and say "bye!" It really is the cutest thing!

He loves the movies. I took him to see Shrek 4 and How to Train Your Dragon! Shrek 4 was his first time in the theater and he loved it.

We go to the doctor next week, so I will update weight and height then but I can report that we have TWO more teeth. This brings our total to THREE!!!!!! He has his upper incisors (front teeth) and one lower incisor!! I can't believe that he will be 18 months next week!!!

Mother's Day Visitors

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. It started when my mom and nephew, Ashton, got here on Saturday. This was Ashton’s first plane ride and he loved it. My mom said he talked the WHOLE time, which is not a surprise because he is Kiley’s son!!! We went straight from the airport to The Shark Reef (Mandalay Bay). That was so much fun and I would recommend it to everyone. We then went to eat some lunch at The Rainforest Café (MGM)! Ashton loved looking at all the animals, the water and the rainstorm show with thunder and lightning!! We then checked out the Lion Habitat (MGM) and found out how LAZY lions are!! Next up, the M&M store!! Then we made the long walk to the Bird Habitat (Flamingo). We saw so many neat birds and of course flamingos. The grounds are so pretty there and the weather was very nice. We then walked across the street to watch the water show at The Bellagio and then back to the car. We were pooped so we got some smoothies and headed home so the kids could play! It was so much fun to watch Hudsen and Ashton just play, they love each other so much. The next day was Mother’s Day and we just shopped and bought the boys some clothes, toys and we had to get a few things for baby Stella too!!! It was so much fun to spend time with my mom and just play!! We then went to eat at On The Border and had some good Mexican food!! Then we went home to let the kids play some more. Monday is when mom and Ashton went back home :( We had lunch with Tim at Capriatti’s and then took them to the airport. We were sad to see them leave but so glad they came to visit!! We had so much fun and can’t wait for them to come back! I can’t believe that the next time I see them will be when my little niece is born in just a few months!!!

These are just some pictures to show you what Hudsen has been up to lately! He continues to make us smile and he brings so much joy to our lives. He loves his kitties but not as much as his blanket! He is beginning to eat more table food and is starting to turn away from baby food. His favorite foods at the moment are mac & cheese and spaghetti-o's. He knows where his nose, eyes, mouth and belly button are and can say: bye, hey, momma, da-da, kitty, ball, no, tank (thank you) and is starting to really imitate anything that we do!! He is now getting to sit facing forward in the car. I can also report that we have a...........TOOTH!!!! Yay, right-16 mos. and 2 weeks with our first tooth!!!!

Some very exciting news to pass on-my baby sister, Kiley, is having a...........GIRL!!! We are so excited but I think Michael is most excited (Michael is Kiley's husband)!!! The baby girl will be named Stella (love it) and the middle name is still in the works! Congrats Kiley and Michael, we can't wait to meet her!!

Wonderful Weekend

Elizabeth & Gerard were married April 16, 2010. I had the privilege and honor of being the matron of honor. Thank you Elizabeth for thinking so highly of me. I feel the same about you!! The ceremony and reception were beautiful.......it helps when the bride and groom are beautiful people. The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony and the reception was so fun!

The girls started out the day by getting our hair and makeup done! It was so much fun! Then we took a limo to the ceremony to get ready. We had some lunch and got ready, took some pre-wedding pictures and then went back to the bridal suite to hang and drink some champagne! Then came the wedding and reception. Elizabeth looked beautiful and you could definitely feel the love between the two. Thank you Elizabeth for letting us share in your special day and welcome to the family Gerard! We love you both!!

Hudsen was such a trooper. He was a perfect angel at the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. We have a wonderful little boy!!

Brian and Erin were married October 3, 2009 in Cabo, Mexico. Tim was the best man and was very proud to stand up for his brother. The wedding was beautiful. Hudsen and I did not go because we did not want to take Hudsen to Mexico. My older sister, Amy, came to stay with us and we had so much fun with her! Here are some pictures from Mexico!

What a beautiful place to get married and again a good looking couple. Erin, welcome to the family! We love you both!

Easter 2010

We started on Saturday by hunting eggs in our backyard with Hudsen. He loved his eggs, his basket and of course being outside, but he couldn't grasp that you pick up the eggs and put them in the basket. He just wanted to pick them all up and carry them!!

"Hurry up and take me outside."

He was so pooped that he came in and went to sleep!

Sunday morning he woke up and found that the Easter Bunny had stopped by our house. Thanks Nanny for the basket and candy!!!

"Smartie please!"

Then we got ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's!

I had planned for all of us to match. I had a yellow and white dress that I was going to wear but we decided to go to church at 5:00 and I didn't want to wear my dress all day or change after eating so much good food, so just my boys match!!!

I love Easter and it's meaning, what a wonderful gift Jesus gave us!! Our Easter was wonderful. We had lots of fun, good food, family time and making lots of memories!!

The Next Big Star

You guessed it......Hudsen is The Next Big Star!!!!

Background: We usually go to King & Ellen's house on Sundays for supper. Elizabeth, Tim's sister, is getting married in 5 weeks and just moved back to Vegas so she is living with her parents. She has a Wii with the games-The Beatles Rock Band and Country Rock Band. Now the last time we played this with Hudsen around was several months ago and he was asleep for most of the time we were playing.

We decided to play Sunday and they got out the drums, guitar and microphone with stand. Hudsen loved the drums and guitar but when the microphone and stand came out, he walked right up to it and grabbed it and started singing into the microphone. I do not know how he knew that is what you do with a microphone but he definitely has music in his blood.

I do have to report that a couple of weeks ago Hudsen busted his lip in the bathtub. This was his first big injury and was definitely very hard on not only him but his mommy and daddy too. The picture below is the best picture we could get of his busted lip. I will say that his lip is completely healed now and has no fear of the tub........mommy is a different story!!!

Okay, so I thought it would be fun to do this because EVERYONE says Hudsen looks just like Tim!

Tim and I were actually talking about this last night. When Hudsen was born, I think he really did look just like Tim. The older he gets the more I see me in him. I still just think he looks like Hudsen and a good mix of Tim and me!

We had a WONDERFUL Valentine weekend. My mom got here on Saturday and stayed until Tuesday evening. We had so much fun and Hudsen enjoyed having his Nanny around. I have a large picture frame in our hallway with lots of pictures in it. On Tuesday night before Hudsen's bath, he walked up to it and just kept touching the picture of him and Nanny. He missed his Nanny. The next several pictures will walk you through our weekend!

When Nanny arrived, she delivered a very special Valentine to Hudsen from his cousin Ashton. In it was a package of smarties and he LOVED them.

Sick Boy

Our sweet Hudsen has had an ear infection. This is our first real experience with him being sick. He has had a fever, cough and runny nose. He has been put on antibiotics, motrin and a decongestant, all which he takes very well. Hopefully he will be better soon!!

Being sick is not going to keep him from playing with Emma!

I just wanted to share a few pictures of Hudsen! He is growing up so fast and he brings so much joy to our lives!! He has the sweetest personality! We still have no teeth but I feel that we are close! Someday!! Anyway, enjoy!

He has really gotten into pulling his shirt up to show off his belly. Today he pulled it up and I poked his belly button and tickled him. After that, he walked around pulling his shirt up, looking at his belly and poking his finger in his belly button! Hilarious!!!

We refer to this cabinet as "Hudsen's Cabinet." He loves it, especially when I am in the kitchen cooking!!!

Emma is his best friend! He loves her and she is so good with him. He loves Chandler too, but Emma comes around him more!

Walking

I feel like walking is a HUGE milestone that we have failed to blog about. Hudsen started walking right before Thanksgiving and has been on-the-go ever since! It is the cutest thing to watch him just toddle around.....honestly, anything he does is cute.

Christmas

Sorry this is so late but we had A LOT of pictures to go through and pick out to share. We had a few Christmas celebrations this year.

We start with our first one at Grandma and Grandpa's......aka Ellen and King!

Our favorite thing is stockings and Hudsen picked up the fun in them really quick. He loved looking in a pulling things out!!

He loved his alphabet train from Brian and Erin.

He also loved his bouncing turtle! We had a wonderful Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa.

For our next one, we move to our house a few days later. We had these two early because we traveled to Plainview this year!

We have to show the kitties playing with their presents!!

Again, we love stockings!!!

We always love opening presents from our Alaska family! Isn't this cap so cute!!

Hudsen got several baseball toys and this one is a t-ball set! He knew exactly where the ball went, we did not coach him, he did this on his own!! Baseball is in his blood!

Our family Christmas 2009! It was wonderful!

We started for Plainview on the 23rd and arrived on Christmas Eve to lots of snow!!! We drove this year and I told Tim that was the last time. It is getting harder the older Hudsen gets but we made it. We didn't run into weather until 30 miles west of Amarillo and it still wasn't as bad as it could have been. We made it and that's all that mattered!

Christmas morning! Santa even knew we were in Plainview! By the way.......the rocking chair was mine that my Granny got for me and I was able to pass it on to Hudsen. My mom sent it to the North Pole to be painted and delivered on Christmas Day to Hudsen!!!

I love these two pictures of everyone! Family time is the best part of the holidays!!

The first gift that Hudsen opened was an airport from Nanny and Pappy.....aka my mom and dad!

He loved it so much we had to put it together right then.

The finished product.......he had a lot of fun while we were there playing with his airport.

I feel like I need to explain this picture! This is me and my little sister Kiley, who by the way is expecting her 2nd baby in August!!! We are so excited. But back to the picture. There are a lot of things for babies that we have always said, "I wish they made those for big people" and one of those items are the footed sleepers. Well....... they do make them for big people because my older sister, Amy, found them and gave them to Kiley and me for Christmas! We are always so cold and these are the best. I actually slept in mine that night and never once got cold!! They are awesome, Thank you Amy!

Hudsen also got his first haircut while we were there.

Tim's birthday is the 26th and we went out to eat....mexican food....our favorite and then to Amy and Leon's house for cake, ice cream and presents! He had another party when we got back with the Watts family, so I will post those pictures next!

We made our way home on New Year's Eve and drove the whole way! We had a wonderful Christmas and we hope that you did too. Best of wishes to everyone in 2010.

Santa Visit

We took Hudsen to see Santa on 12-17-09 at Town Square and as you can tell.......he was NOT impressed! We got a good picture of just him and Santa and he was screaming! It is cute though!

For those of you that don't live in Vegas and don't know about Town Square, it is a really neat outdoor mall. They really decorate at Christmas and it is so pretty.

And this is the big tree in the center of Town Square! The lights constantly change colors and Tim got a good picture of the tree with all the colors.

The night we went it just happened to start snowing at 7:00 pm right in front of the tree. Of course it isn't real but it sure was fun pretending!

After the Santa experience, we had a really good night!

Christmas post to follow. There are a lot of pictures and I need to be able to focus. Maybe tonight when Hudsen goes to bed!

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY!!

Happy 1st Birthday to Hudsen!!!!

Hudsen turned one on Monday the 14th! We had a couple of parties for him and he had so much fun! Our first party was on Sunday. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle G, our friend Dana and our friend JR celebrated with us. Hudsen loved all of his gifts but was a little overwhelmed. He wasn't quite sure which toy to play with. The next morning he was still overwhelmed because he just kept walking around and around and around just looking at all his new toys but didn't know which one to play with first.

Hudsen loved his cake and was not too messy!

This is the cake I stressed about! Yes, I made it and it turned out pretty good....I think?!

Aunt Elizabeth came over on Saturday and gave Hudsen an early Christmas present. It was a Godson ornament!

We had another party on his birthday at Grandma and Grandpa's. He had more presents to open and he had so much fun. He loves all of his new toys and clothes!

He still loved his cake but was messy the 2nd time around!

He is exactly ONE YEAR OLD! This was taken at 7:03pm on the 14th....exactly the time of his birth!!!!

We go to Plainview for Christmas and will have another party with my family! What a lucky boy getting to have 3 parties. I can't say that I ever had 3 parties!!!

Hudsen went to the doctor today which is why I am just now posting. I wanted to give one big update instead of two. He is 31 inches and 23 lbs. 10 oz. He is perfectly healthy. He has been walking for about 3 weeks and is drinking milk. We still have no teeth but the Dr. told us not to worry. You can see little white spots, they just won't break through. Someday!

We are so excited to see our Plainview Family next week! We hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year! If you are traveling, please Be Safe!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! We ate too much and had fun on Hudsen's first Thanksgiving! He tried cranberry salad, turkey and sweet potatoes. He was only a fan of the cranberry salad, the rest he just spit right back out! We are now ready for Hudsen's First Birthday and then Christmas!! We can't wait!

Monkey Boy

Tim and I had decided not to dress Hudsen up for Halloween. Our reasoning was that he was not trick-or-treating and he couldn't eat the candy. So he wore his Halloween shirt and we began carving our pumpkins in the backyard after lunch. Then we began to decorate our front porch for the trick-or-treaters. I started to feel like a bad parent for not dressing him up, so Tim and I decided to find a costume. So we went to the place that you go to for everything especially last minute.........Wal-mart!!! We found a monkey costume and Hudsen looked so cute!! I am so glad we decided to dress him up and we had so much fun handing out candy to the little ones. Next year Hudsen will be able to trick-or-treat and we can't wait!

Plainview Trip

LONG POST-BE PREPARED
I haven't posted in several weeks so this is going to be a long one!

Hudsen and I spent all last week in Plainview with my family for two reasons. One was for my birthday and two was for my niece's wedding!! We had lots of fun and took so many fun pictures. Hudsen has grown so much since our last visit. He loved everyone so much and had lots of fun!

We flew in on Saturday the 17th and my mom and Kiley picked us up. We then shopped and shopped and shopped and shopped some more! We had so much fun but were tired when we got back to mom and dad's. Hudsen did really well on the plane. He played and talked to everyone and fell asleep the last 40 minutes of the flight. My birthday was spent with all my family, including Grandad, eating supper at mom and dad's. We had some really good food and Hudsen loved seeing Grandad!! We went to a volleyball game on Tuesday and then just hung out on Wednesday. Thursday night we went to my sister, Amy's, house and Hudsen had a playdate with my high school basketball coach and his wife's little girl Reagan. They had so much fun and it was neat to watch them play. Friday was the rehearsal for the wedding and then Saturday was the big day. My niece, Mollie, got married and it was beautiful.

We also had pictures taken of Hudsen while we were there. Kiley and Michael, my sister and brother-in-law, have started a photography business so they took pictures of Hudsen before the wedding. They turned out WONDERFUL and we are going to have a hard time picking one to frame! We get to go back at Christmas and are going to have them take his one year pictures!!

Hudsen had so much fun playing with everyone and he especially liked playing with my nephew Ashton. He thought he was really cool!!

Hudsen started clapping this week and it is the cutest thing. What is so cute is he knows when to clap. He likes to watch Dancing with the Stars with me and he claps for everyone! He is such a joy! I was able to get him to clap on video last night. Enjoy!!
